Khuluma is a mobile phone support group initiative aimed at addressing the mental health and wellbeing needs of HIV positive adolescents in South Africa.
After a successful trial period, the Khuluma project was proven to produce fantastic results when it came to improving the mental health of its participants. These results began to draw interest from the wider mental health community.
With the Foundation looking to attract new funders and tell the story of the Khuluma model to a new audience, I suggested that Khuluma undertake a full brand refresh.
By designing a new logo that could be used modularly and adapted to create sub-brands for Khuluma initiative in the future. As well as a wide array of brand elements including illustrative and iconographic art styles, colour pallets and print layouts.
All of which had to be designed in a way that appealed both to adolescents in South Africa as well as international investors.
